May 1st, 2008 - Media Statement

Perth's newest charity fundraiser - the 1940's-glamour inspired Piper Heidsieck Aviator Ball 2008 - is set to play host to one of the world's hottest house DJ's.

The event, being held on May 24 at the Oyster Bar in North Fremantle, will feature professional dancers, live DJs with percussion and an exclusive appearance Hed Kandi creator Mark Doyle - who'll fly direct from the UK for the black tie affair.

Guests will be transported to the magnificence and splendor of the 1940's and will be treated to free-flowing Piper Heidsieck champagne as well as premium beverages and first-class delicacies.

The ball is being held in support of the Scott Kirkbride Melanoma Research Centre based at the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research.

Funds raised will be used to investigate the genetic and environmental causes of melanoma - one of the most deadly forms of skin cancer.

Tickets cost $220 and are selling fast - to get yours call (08) 9430 6866 or drop into the Oyster Bar North Fremantle.
