Fashion, fun and fine food will combine in style this November at the Scott Kirkbride Melanoma Research Centre's (SKMRC) fundraising fashion parade.
The event, to be held on Friday November 17, will showcase the latest summer styles in lush garden surrounds in Cottesloe.
Venerable Ajahn Brahmavamso, the current abbot of Serpentine's Bodhinyana Buddhist Monastery will be the guest speaker at the event.
All funds raised will be used to investigate the genetic and environmental causes of melanoma - one of the most deadly and prevalent forms of cancer.
The SKMRC is based within the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (WAIMR).
The Centre was established in March 2005 in memory of Scott Kirkbride, a young Mt Claremont golfer who died from melanoma at the age of 27, who also worked at the Wembley Golf Complex.
The SKMRC has been made possible through fundraising efforts by the Kirkbride family, their friends and a generous commitment by The University of WA.
BOOKINGS FOR THE FASHION PARADE CAN BE MADE BY PHONING THE SKMRC (08) 9224 0333.
